The 2017 Reese’s Senior Bowl is upon us. Beginning on Tuesday, 110 senior football prospects will interview with and practice in front of hundreds of NFL coaches and scouts. Tuesday morning, the players will weigh-in and then both teams will lightly practice in the afternoon. Wednesday and Thursday are the two biggest practice days when both squads practice in full pads. This culminates in the game at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama on Saturday at 1:30 pm. The game can also be seen live on NFL Network.

I have a preview of each position group at the links below:

2017 Senior Bowl: Skill Player Predictions

On January 28th, 2017 the Reese’s Senior Bowl will take place in Mobile, Alabama. Every year the best senior college football players in the nation converge on the Gulf Coast to be seen by a who’s who of NFL coaches, scouts, and personnel departments.

This time of year, players from across the country will start to receive their invitation to play in next year’s game. I thought it would be a fun exercise to try to guess which skill position players that will receive an invite. I have been attending the Senior Bowl in person for the better part of 30 years. Since, I launched Deep Fried Draft in 2012; I have attended every practice for the game. Phil Savage and the rest of the great crew of the Senior Bowl do an awesome job each and every year.

I will try to replicate some of the intricacies used by their crew when I make my mock selections for the skill position players.
