DEEP FRIED DRAFT

2/16/18

RECIPE STARTERS
Chase Litton
Junior QB
6’5” 220
Marshall

Career Stats:
728/1198 (61%) 8335 yards, 72 touchdowns, 31 interceptions

Today we are going to look at a surprising early entrant into the 2018 NFL Draft. Chase Litton arrived at Marshall as a three-star prospect from Wharton HS in Tampa. Litton had several other offers but chose to play for the Thundering Herd. He didn’t play his first two games as a true freshman but started the rest of his career. Litton set a Marshall freshman record for TD passes with 23. He threw at least one touchdown pass in every game he started and led the Herd to a bowl win this past season.

GAMES WATCHED:
2016: Morgan State, Pittsburgh
2017: NC State, Florida Atlantic, Colorado State (Bowl)

MEAL QUALITY

Chase Litton offers you a peek at what he could be and then he snatches it away. His lack of consistency is unfortunate because I believe he has the physical tools to be so much better. In my opinion, he is a less athletic version of Josh Allen. Litton will likely be picked at some point on day three but he should have returned to school.

WORST INGREDIENTS

Litton is rawer than a steak straight from the butcher shop. His passing mechanics are so inconsistent. The number of interceptions he threw this past season went up. Litton has a funky release. It may not actually make a difference in his game but it looks weird to me. He will offer you absolutely nothing as a runner. Litton doesn’t feel the pressure quick enough. He gets rattled and takes too many sacks.

BEST INGREDIENTS

Litton has phenomenal size for the position. He was a little skinny during his sophomore season but he has since added about 20 pounds of good weight, filling out his frame. Statistically speaking, Litton was very consistent over his three seasons. He arm strength is quite powerful. Litton is able to make tight window throws and is able to hit the opposite hash 15-yard comeback. He is capable of putting some nice touch on passes at times.
