DEEP FRIED DRAFT
DFD COOKBOOK RECIPE
The first thing I notice about Okorafor is his tremendous footwork. He has the desired arm length to keep defenders at bay. He can lock them out with ease. As a run blocker, he is a finisher. Okorafor moves multiple bodies at once on down blocks.
Career Stats: N/A
Today we look at one of the more unheralded draft prospects in the 2018 draft. Chukwuma Okorafor joined the Broncos as a three-star player from Southfield HS in Michigan. He didn’t play football until his sophomore season. His family immigrated to the United States from Botswana in 2010. As a true freshman, Okorafor played in twelve games. He started 13 games at right tackle as a sophomore and fourteen games at left tackle this past season.
2016: Central Michigan, Ball State, Buffalo, Toledo, Wisconsin
Okorafor is susceptible to an outside speed rush. He was beaten multiple times by it against Ball State. He hasn’t seen a wide array of pass rush moves.
Chukwuma Okorafor is still relatively inexperienced as a football player. This is despite his number of collegiate starts. Okorafor does possess the tools to be one of the top tackle prospects in this class. With another good season and a likely Senior Bowl invite, Okorafor can cement himself in the first round conversation.
