Round 1/Pick 3
The Pick: Nick Bosa, EDGE, Ohio State

I fully expect Bosa to go in the first two picks. However, if he is still on the board at three, this is a slam dunk pick. The Jets need that franchise pass rusher and Bosa is that. He has dealt with a few nagging injuries. If the medicals check out, this is a tremendous pick.

Round 3/Pick 68
The Pick: Erik McCoy, C, Texas A&M

The Jets need a center. McCoy is a powerful anchor that will improve their run game and help deal with all of the nasty interior pass rushers swarming the league. McCoy really elevated his stock at the Senior Bowl.

Round 3/Pick 98
The Pick: Tyler Roemer, OT, San Diego State

Roemer was suspended late in the Aztecs season and subsequently kicked off the team. As a player, he is likely raw. He was only a redshirt sophomore. Roemer has the tools to a long term starter at left tackle. He has quick feet, is a stout run blocker, and a nice athlete. The off-field needs to be answered. If it checks out, Roemer could be a long-term starter for New York.

Round 4/Pick 105
The Pick: Antoine Wesley, WR, Texas Tech

Wesley is listed at 6’5” and 225 pounds. Is he a Calvin Johnson type? Or is he more of a move tight end? Wesley clearly has talent but the questions I have are what make him a fourth-round pick. Consider this a lottery ticket that could pay off handsomely for the Jets.

Hamp Cheevers, CB, Boston College
Damarea Crockett, RB, Missouri

The New York Jets appear to be a team that Is always in a perpetual state of rebuilding. They also have had a changing of the guard at the top. Todd Bowles is out as head coach and failed Dolphins head man Adam Gase is now I charge.

The Jets have two things working for them: A Brinks truck worth of cap space and they drafted their franchise QB last year (Sam Darnold). They don’t have a second round pick due to trading up for Darnold last year, however, they have enough pieces to make a difference.

Today, I will go through all seven rounds of a mock draft to see if I can make the New York Jets a better team. I will use my own big board, with User-Votes team needs, and the difficult setting at the draft simulator site
Fanspeak. You all can do the same.
